Southeast Warren 1st Annual Girls Basketball
Tournament 2010 Basketball Tournament Rules
1. Southeast Warren school will be putting a Tournament on that will be held in February. The Girl’s Tournament is scheduled for February 27th . The tournament format will consist of 3 classes (6th, 7th, & 8th), with 4 teams in each class.
2. The Southeast Warren School are not responsible for any injuries or theft of personal belongings during the tournament. Coaches are responsible for the players conduct in the locker room and in the gym.
3. Please have entries in by February 10th, 2010
4. Each team will play 3 game round robin.
5. There will be a 10-player limit for each team. Each player must play with their grade, or they may play up a grade.
6. Every player listed must play in each game.
7. Individual awards will be presented to the players. (10 medal maximum).
8. All games will be played in the Southeast Warren High school gym in Liberty Center.
9. Indicate your team color on the roster. Try to bring light and dark jerseys if possible.
10. Any team that is not ready to play 10 minutes after their scheduled time will forfeit their game. You must have 5 players on the floor to start the game.
11. Price of admission is $3.00 for adults and $2.00 for students. One admission charge is good for the whole day. All team members and two coaches will be admitted free of charge. Check in at the door to get stamped.
12. Tournament officials reserve the right to change schedules due to major conflicts or weather conditions.
13. Top team listed will be the home team. Bottom team listed will be the visitors. Bring your own towels.
14. Junior High School rules apply with the following exceptions:
• Quarters will be 6 minutes for the 6th, 7th, & 8th grades.
• Each team will be allowed 5 minutes for warm-ups.
• Half-time will be 3 minutes.
• Tournament officials have the right to change all the time limits on warm-ups and quarters if games are running late or ahead.
• Overtime periods will be 2 minutes.
• Three timeouts per team with one additional timeout for each overtime period.
• There will be no full-court press for the 6th grade levels.
• Three point line will be used in all grade levels.
